內容：
清雲（鳳凰女）自母死後，投靠姨媽（譚蘭卿），與三位表哥自小青梅竹馬，清雲與二表哥鶴鳴（任劍輝）相愛，遭三表哥（蕭仲坤）妒忌，暗放冷箭，以傷手足情，被胡邦公主擒獲，藉與表妹成婚，鶴鳴大表哥（陸飛鴻）與其弟同父異母，常受後母刻薄，諸般為難，逆來順受，其後巧遇畢發達（任劍輝分飾），見其相貌與弟郎相似，求他回家冒充其弟以慰慈幃，其母欣見兒返，命與表妹即日成親，婚夜，達嫂（任冰兒）發覺丈夫另結新歡，揭發冒充一事，適逢鶴鳴被胡邦公主（賈醉鳳）釋放回家，怒斥其三弟不是，更對慈母勸諫說道其兄找別人冒充一事，出於孝心，其母亦覺悟前非，此後一家暢聚。
