The Killer (1989)

Wong Wing Hang shows that he is as good a cinematographer as anyone in the world, not only technically, but with his understanding of communication through the image. Gloriously exaggerated slow motion sequences . The real strength is the force with which Woo asserts his usual themes, we cried out in disgust when Sidney tries to beg for Jeff's money. Great film, great concept ending. The Killer makes the third collaboration between Chow Run Fat and John Woo. Jeffrey (Chow Run Fat) is a professional assassin and is hired to eliminate a triad boss which makes him dragged into a conspiracy, a power struggle among the would be triad boss candidates and becomes the target of another assassin. At the same time, after a few encounters, Jeffery and inspector Lee (Danny Lee) and Tsang (Tsang Kong) build up a strange "close friend" relationship.
